Reduce Stress Naturally w/ Cacao

This time of year with the cold and flu season in high gear and coming off the Holiday season full of treats our bodies are super taxed! I love hot chocolate for a pick me up on those cold, sleepy afternoons.

Being high in magnesium is one of my favorite benefits because we burn through the precious mineral when we are stressed—and let’s face it, that all of us most of the time! So it’s important to get food sources as much as possible since the jury is out on which supplement forms are actually beneficial.

Raw cacao is easy to order online or find in the health food store. This recipe is GAPS friendly and kid approved!

Ingredients

Instructions
  1. Put all ingredients except water and eggs in a sauce pan.
  2. Mix until all ingredients melt well. Let cool a bit or add a few ice cubes so eggs don’t overcook.
  3. Add boiling water.
  4. Blend eggs into mixture with a stick blender or blend in a blender. 😊
