Hot Chocolate

My individual cup of get me going in the morning hot chocolate!

RECIPE

2 cups hot water
1 TBS coconut oil
1/4 raw cacao
1 TBS Collagen (fast and easy) or gelatin (but must fluff first)
1 TBS raw honey (option to use stevia instead)
2 eggs
Sprinkle of ceylon cinnamon to garnish
Gut healing hot chocolate I make for my kids:
4 cups boiling water
3 tbsp coconut oil
3 tbsp gelatin fluffed (see below)
2 tbsp butter
4 tbsp raw organic cacao powder (I keep it weaker for kids but add more if you like rich chocolate)
1 tsp powdered glutamine (optional)
4 eggs (or just yolks if dealing with a lot of inflammation)
2 TBS raw honey

Put water in a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Add coconut oil and butter (optional but my kids suck it down when I include butter), cacao powder and mix. Then add honey, gelatin or collagen, and glutamine (optional). Gelatin has more healing and sealing compounds for the gut but is an extra step because it needs to be fluffed. To fluff, use a separate small bowl to mix gelatin with just enough cold water to make a thick paste—which ensures no clumping happens when the hot water is added. Mix again, but don’t worry about clumps the stick blender is coming! Add in eggs and blend with a stick blender. Pour into a cup and garnish with Ceylon cinnamon (which is anti inflammatory verses pro inflammatory traditional cinnamon). Enjoy!
